All internet dependent devices must be updated. If you not do so, the device starts malfunctioning. The router should also be updated to latest firmware. The default IP address to complete the Belkin router firmware update is 192.168.0.1. Type this in a web browser and click ok. This will direct you to the log in page, which you can access through your password. Go to the utility section and click on firmware update. Download and save the file on your computer. Install it to complete the update.
